Subject: summer time diving
Content: Hey all, during the summer I scuba dive with my buddy in lake huron. My family has a boat at a Marina and every weekend we and all of our fellow boating friends go out on the lake if it is flat and raft(tie the boats togehter). They drink and swim but while they are doing that I usually push my diving bit by bit. When I was younger, maybe ages 13/14/15 etc, I over the summers built up my lung capacities. First I could swim one length of the pool underwater and then 2, and then 3. Anyway, enough with the into. I can now freedive to about 25 feet by using my bit of knowledge of SCUBA. I want to know some tips that can help me stay down a bit longer and maybe go a bit deeper. Sometimes I wear my fins but often i just use my mask, nothing else. I am not looking to get into free diving hardcore or anything but I think being able to be down 1-2 min at a reasonable depth would be very nice. Should I be using a different finning technique? I have seen a vido of one guy with fins that looked attached together and he swam like a mermaid..or merman. Other than than is the rest just mental? being able to hold my breath and conserve energy as well?
