Anyone who doesn't dive, for any purpose is missing part of some of the best things in life. You meet some of the most interesting people in the world, get to see some of the greatest places in the world, and the u/w experiences are better than sex (especially at my age, when all you can do is talk about either experience). I even met my wife thro diving, but I am NOT going to talk about that in case she ever finds this website.

1. East end of Tobago:- Remote and quaint, unlimited depth variation with tremendous u/w life, and close enough to the equaqtor to always be warm. Oh yes, and the cheap rum is actually very good.
2. Resolute Bay, NWT, in very early 70's. We really didn't know what we were doing, but being that far back in history, nobody else did either. So the tales were legitimate just because we were the first there, thx to Joe MacInnis' train ride thro the Arctic.

U/W Marine Scientist who could never work for anyone else, so ran his own companies for 30 odd years and still does. Now however, I just tell yarns about diving and leave it up to the young 'bucks'. Major focus for past 15 years has been the management of research teams involved in marine and freshwater projects in developing countries. Currently CEO of WATER Research Associates, private/academic research team developing green tech. to decontaminate water and process wastewater, for use in developing countries.
